About this course

Can Vedic astrology offer useful insight into spiritual crisis and transformation?

This course introduces the perspective of Blaine Watson, an experienced Vedic astrologer recognized by respected teachers in India, who explains how Jyotish can be used to understand the timing, nature, and potential meaning of spiritually transformative periods in a person’s life.Jyotish, often translated as the “science of light,” is the ancient and mathematically sophisticated system of astrology that emerged from the Vedic traditions of India thousands of years ago.

In this course, you’ll learn how this system interprets the planetary influences present at birth and how those patterns are used to better understand a person’s strengths, challenges, life path, and major turning points.

Blaine shares how Vedic astrology can be applied to periods of personal crisis, including spiritual emergency, to help clarify when a difficult period may begin, how long it may last, what kind of experience may be unfolding, and how a person might move through it with greater awareness and less danger. The course explores how this framework can support discernment, preparation, and a more meaningful understanding of crisis as a potentially transformative event.

More broadly, this course offers an introduction to Vedic astrology as a tool for understanding human development and the changing seasons of life. By learning how Jyotish approaches timing, challenge, and potential, you will gain a deeper appreciation for how this tradition aims to support wiser choices, personal growth, and greater alignment with one’s path.
