Luis Sérgio Marotta, a Brazilian Spiritist, interviewed Dr. Dean Radin to talk about Radin’s book “Real Magic” and the obstacles to research anomalous (extraordinary) phenomena. They also reflected on anomalous experiences people have in Spiritism.

Dean Radin, MS, PhD.

is Chief Scientist at the Institute of Noetic Science (IONS) and Associated Distinguished Professor of Integral and Transpersonal Psychology at the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS). For over three decades he has been engaged in research on the frontiers of consciousness. Before joining the research staff at IONS in 2001, he held appointments at Princeton University, SRI International, and other academic and industrial facilities.

He is author or co-author of hundreds of scientific, technical, and popular articles, four dozen book chapters, and four best-selling books including The Conscious Universe, Entangled Minds, Supernormal, and Real Magic. Dr. Radin’s books have been translated into over a dozen languages.

Luis Sérgio Marotta

has been following the teachings of Allan Kardec and Spiritism since he was 14. He produces videos and podcasts about Spiritism and Christianity and hosts a bi-lingual English/Portuguese youtube channel ‘Spirit Connections’.

It aims to build bridges in the understanding of the scientific, philosophical and ethical implications of afterlife issues between English and Portuguese speaking nations. He lectures in Spiritist centers and is also involved with mediumship and Spiritist Community Centers in Brazil.
