Kundalini, Bioenergy, and Awakening

Kundalini is a powerful inner energy that can awaken during spiritual transformation. Learn how to distinguish trauma-based bioenergetic release from Kundalini and the expansion of consciousness.

About this course

Kundalini is often described as a powerful inner energy that lies dormant until it becomes active during spiritual awakening. Yet despite growing interest in the topic, there is still a great deal of confusion about what Kundalini actually is, how it manifests, and how to distinguish it from other forms of energetic activation. This course offers a clear, grounded introduction to Kundalini, bioenergy, and awakening so you can better understand what you are seeing in yourself or others.

In this course, you will watch a one-hour online webinar with Emma Bragdon, PhD, who brings more than 40 years of experience as both a bioenergetic therapist and meditator using Kundalini-rising practices. Her teaching is followed by a brief segment with an East Indian guru, along with a unique interview featuring someone describing her own Kundalini experience. The course also includes articles, guided self-reflection, and resources for further learning, as well as access to a one-hour live online meetup for Q&A and discussion. You will learn how to recognize genuine Kundalini experiences, understand how Kundalini differs from other forms of bioenergetic release, and gain a clearer view of how expanded consciousness can unfold through awakening. The course also offers practical guidance for those interested in the broader path of Kundalini development and Self-realization.

This course is especially valuable for healthcare providers, including physicians, nurses, counselors, psychotherapists, and spiritual coaches, as well as yoga teachers and energy practitioners. It provides essential insight for making finer distinctions in assessment, diagnosis, and future support or treatment planning. This is a 3-hour online course and includes 3 Continuing Education credits for eligible professionals.
