Rod’s work lies at the intersection of psychiatry, consciousness, spirituality, and healing. Shaped by his own experiences with chronic illness, non-ordinary states of consciousness, and unexpected recovery since childhood, he investigates how transformative experiences and shifts in identity, meaning, and belief may influence mental and physical health. He is professionally trained in mind-body medicine and regression therapy, and is a Reiki Master trained at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, a Harvard Medical School teaching hospital.

Rod is Co-Founder of Raphi, a research initiative and multimodality directory working to responsibly bridge western medicine with globally sourced healing approaches. He has presented on spirituality and whole-person health at Harvard Medical School, the Obama Presidential Center, the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine, the Science of Consciousness conference, the International Reiki Research Conference, and other venues, including internationally.
